Description

We are seeking a responsible Marketing Coordinator (part-time) to join our growing team. The position’s objectives are to enhance our brand through community partnerships, increase value, generate leads, grow revenue, and meet revenue objectives around our Travel and Philanthropy campaigns. Additionally, this position will assist in event and local marketing to promote the overall brand as well as individual talent including but not limited to speaking engagements, activation events and activities. They will also work with the Publisher on weekly print distribution optimizations designed to increase overall print take rate as well as digital subscription growth.  It is anticipated this position will entail approximately 25 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Partnerships

  • Manage community partnerships including trade and in-kind relationships
  • Draft Memorandum of Agreements (MOA) based on negotiations
  • Serve as the main contact for partnership relationships
  • Ensure all documented assets included within the MOAs are received by both parties in a timely manner
  • Work with finance team on expense management for partnerships
  • Collaborate with advertising sales contacts to ensure revenue and expense balance
  • Secure venues for Subscriber events around the state for the Retention Manager
  • Observe and actively train on negotiation techniques and best practices
  • Communicate regularly with supervisor to provide trade status updates, new opportunities and potential challenges
  • Distribute tickets for all partnerships, including the Coliseum, RiverDogs, Stingrays and the many sponsorships throughout the year
Marketing Support
  • Assist with implementation of marketing plans developed by the Marketing Specialist and Marketing Lead
  • Assist with execution of promotional plan for contests to grow newsletter leads
  • Help coordinate marketing calendar for travel and philanthropy initiatives
  • Support content distribution across channels for travel and philanthropy programs
  • Provide administrative support for travel events and philanthropy campaigns
  • Assist with preparation of basic marketing materials using established templates
  • Help coordinate promotional activities and special offers during events
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS & QUALFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Entry-level marketing experience or relevant internship experience
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts
  • Strong writing skills for emails and marketing copy
  • Comfort with attending events and interacting with community members and partners
  • Willingness to learn HubSpot, Constant Contact or other CRM systems
  • Interest in photo editing and graphic design tools
  • Ability to work remotely when necessary in a suitable workspace that meets safety guidelines
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Collaborative team player who can also handle assigned tasks independently
  • Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with guidance
  • Basic understanding of social media audience engagement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to draft clear, engaging emails and marketing copy
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to assist with project coordination
  • Professional interpersonal skills and confidence in face-to-face interactions at events
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to learn basic SEO and social media management tools
  • Adaptable to new technologies and systems

  • Professional demeanor and enthusiasm for marketing and community partnerships
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND TRAVEL
  • Regular computer work with occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (15-30 pounds)
  • Primarily indoor work environment with occasional outside exposure
  • Travel may be required for select events
