New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC) is a not-for-profit organization working in partnership with the New York State Department of Health to improve healthcare by collaboratively leading, connecting, and integrating health information exchange across the State.
Founded in 2006 by healthcare leaders, NYeC works to help New York State achieve the Triple Aim of improving the patient experience of care, delivering better health outcomes, and reducing costs. On behalf of the State, NYeC leads the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY), a network connecting healthcare providers statewide, develops policies and standards that support the utilization of health technologies, and assists healthcare providers in adopting and effectively using electronic health records.
Position Summary:
NYeC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Information Security Intern to join our Information Security team. This internship provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance. You’ll assist in maintaining and improving the security posture of our systems, networks, and data.
This role is for a part time position (27 hours per week or less) and will be paid $20 per hour. This position is expected to begin this month, in June 2025 and go through the summer. There may be an opportunity to extend this internship into the fall/spring semester as well.
This role will require you to work a hybrid schedule (some days will be in person in our Albany office and other days remotely). You must be able to commute to the Albany, NY office. Your exact work schedule will be determined in coordination with your supervisor.
