Sales Engineers are the primary technical resource for the sales team. Sales Engineers are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical adviser and product advocate for our products.
The Sales Engineer must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users, identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process and establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities will include:Responsible for learning products and services in the core offering with value propositionsAssist Regional Vice Presidents in the small to mid-sized markets to close businessAssist the Regional Vice President with client discovery callsResearch customer needs and strategize with the assigned Regional Vice President before delivering a solutions presentationUtilize discovery to create a solutions-based presentation for each client via online meeting platformsEstablish customer rapport and acceptanceAssist the Regional Vice President with post-presentation follow-up items and coordinating with product teams when neededRepresent the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPsConvey customer requirements to Product Management teams
Minimum QualificationsExperience in and familiarity with the Multi-family housing industryAn inquisitive and innovative nature, excellent critical and analytical thinking, integrity, willingness to step into new initiatives, strong communication and facilitation skills, team-focused mentality, along with a commitment to continuously learning and improvingProven confidence and strong ability to be a self-starterSelf-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technologyAbility to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reportsComfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer baseAble to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
Preferred QualificationsAccounting background/expertise strongly preferredBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is strongly preferred
