Job description

This is a remote position.

Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Draftsperson to create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for various mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate for this role should have a strong background in 3D software and 2D drafting such as Rhino 3D or similar. This role is critical for ensuring precision and accuracy in the design and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain 2D and 3D mechanical drawings and models using industry-standard software.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards.
Prepare detailed technical drawings and schematics for manufacturing and assembly processes.
Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to improve design quality and efficiency.
Ensure all drawings and documents comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage and organize drawing files and documentation for easy access and reference.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mechanical designs and drawings.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field is preferred.

2+ years of experience in mechanical drafting. A focus on the marine industry is an advantage.

Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Rhino 3D, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.

Strong skills in 2D drafting and the ability to create detailed technical drawings.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
