POSITION:
We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team on a full-time basis in the role of Finance Integration Manager. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Ceres (a portfolio within Vesta) Finance Team and will lead the critical role of ensuring seamless alignment of financial systems, processes and reporting standards across Europe and beyond.
Reporting to the Ceres Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the efficient integration of all finance information, systems, and processes within a high-performance, high growth environment. Vesta operates in a casual working environment and promotes both team and individual growth. To be successful in the role you will also need a high degree of personal initiative and the ability to interact with non-financial managers and staff at all levels.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with extensive financial / accounting experience who wishes to build a career across a multi-faceted finance function. This role is based in Budapest Hungary, but Vesta operates across multiple geographical locations and will require travel to other regions particularly for new acquisitions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a multi-faceted role, situated within the Vesta Corporate Finance Team, where the post holder will be expected (but is not limited) to:
Leading the Finance Integration Team on all acquisition related deliverables
Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams to interpret and implement SPA terms.
Manage the financial due diligence work required to assist the M&A team in the purchasing process.
Identify and mitigate financial risks during integration.
Overseeing all new company setup elements within Vesta financial systems including chart of accounts, sub ledger setup and imports, banking, and other related system setup.
Continuously look for process improvements to the integration process including regular audits of the extensive integration checklist.
Creating and maintaining strong working relationships with team members and both internal finance stakeholders and the business stakeholders within the Vesta portfolios.
Contributing to the success of the overall corporate strategy.
Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers, advising on the business impact, and making appropriate recommendations.
Manage (at the end of the integration process) the seamless transition of the acquired companies finances into the portfolio finance team.
Support the portfolio finance team with any post-acquisition payment calculations, mainly net tangible assets and earn-outs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Qualified accountant with extensive experience in finance roles - ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
Proven experience in finance integration, M&A, or financial transformation.
Strong understanding of SPA terms, completion accounts, and earn-out mechanisms.
Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills.
Excellent IT skills including a high level of proficiency in Excel.
Proven experience of working in a dynamic fast paced finance environment.
Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is required.
Multilingual is a must, and the successful candidate should be fluent in Hungarian and English (verbal and written) with other languages also considered advantageous.
