Raytheon is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as an Associate Director -Organizational Design and Effectiveness (OD&E), as part of our Talent & Org Health COE. The selected candidate will be a deep subject matter expert in organizational effectiveness, design, and structure. This key role reports to the Director – Organization Design &Effectiveness at the Raytheon Business unit. This role delivers comprehensive OE products and processes while ensuring alignment with Raytheon and RTX business objectives. The Associate Director will also collaborate across RTX to support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions. 

What You Will Do 

  • Partner with Business unit leaders and HR leaders to drive organizational transformation priorities maintaining a systems view of the organization and the employee experience 

  • Scope and effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, work with executive sponsorship and demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication 

  • Guide and influence at multiple levels of the organization to include executive leadership, develop and deliver sound, persuasive business cases that result in leadership action while balancing big picture, strategic thinking with tactical implementation 

  • As a subject matter expert, address organization effectiveness and org health needs in the business utilizing a systems approach through:  

  • Org effectiveness assessment and diagnostic methods 

  • Applied organization design methodology, framework, practices and tools 

  • Data integration and analysis to shape recommendations and inform decisions. Delivering organization assessment results to senior leaders and stakeholders Present effectively by bringing clarity, synthesizing complex information into easy-to-understand, crisp visuals and messaging appropriate for each level of audience 

  • Identify critical organizational issues and root causes; provide objective, practical, data-driven solutions 

  • Preparing and delivering executive level presentations of our Org design and effectiveness work, used to make business decisions 

  • Design and build implementation plans to support outcomes 

 

  • Expert facilitation driving alignment across business unit stakeholders, leaders, and teams, with data driven solutions through dynamic situations, ability to shift approach and process in the moment, while achieving necessary outcomes 

  • Consult into change management strategy and architecture, review communication plans for implementation of large-scale initiatives that drive desired organizational outcomes 

  • Lead high priority team effectiveness engagements leveraging RTX high performing teams solutions 

  • Represent Raytheon in RTX cross-functional solution team partnerships leveraging best practices and ensure successful implementation for Raytheon 

  • Work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across lines of business and functions; in a fast-paced, demanding environment (virtually as well as in-person) 

  • Align and translate strategy into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables; clearly track and report progress to plan at both executive and working team level 

  • Demonstrate commitment to professional development, staying current in areas such as Organization design, internal consulting, business strategy, use of technology across these domains. 

  • Some travel required: ~15-20% 

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience 

  • 10+ years in Organizational Design (OD), Organization Effectiveness (OE), or Organizational consulting 

  • Experience with applied organization design methodology, framework, practices and tools 

  • Experience with org effectiveness assessments and diagnostic methods 

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 

Qualifications We Prefer 

  • Certification in one or more of the following is desirable: Org design, ICF Executive Coaching, Agile, Project Management 

  • Experience and knowledge of multiple work areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience (such as: change management, organization design, organization structure, operating model, high-performing teams, organization behavior, project management, human resources, or strategy) 

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of aerospace and defense business with the ability to identify best practices and how to best utilize within RTX 

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and influence at all levels of the organization.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
