The role

We are seeking a recent Graduate Engineer – Water Resources for immediate start who wishes to develop a long-term career with an industry leader working on surface water related projects. 

You will work closely with our specialists in the Water Resources team predominantly on NSW projects, however you will also support the wider ANZ business.

We have a solid pipeline of interesting and challenging projects and an excellent team culture where you will develop broad capabilities and be mentored by industry leaders.

You will have an understanding of the key principles of hydrology, hydraulics, and/or water resources and with mentoring provided you will assist with;

  • Undertaking flood modelling to assess and mitigate flood impacts – this will involve a wide range of tasks including data analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, GIS mapping, and report writing
  • Undertaking stormwater drainage design
  • Developing erosion and sediment control plans
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with other project team members

Suitable applicants will have/be;

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering or equivalent
  • Familiar with modelling software including hydrological modelling, TUFLOW, and MUSIC modelling
  • Some exposure to 12D and/or DRAINS modelling
  • Well-developed time management skills when provided with task timelines and budgets
  • The ability to write reports and communicate effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
