SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING ADVISORY SERVICES (FAAS)

(CPA or CFA Preferred)

This is a part-time (20-25 hours/week), fully remote position open to candidates based in the United States. Please note that, due to business and regulatory requirements, we are currently unable to consider applications from residents of California.

As Senior Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), you will lead and deliver strategic financial guidance to a portfolio of nonprofit clients. In this client-facing role, you’ll support CFO-level services including advanced forecasting, financial modeling, and board reporting. You will be a key advisor, helping clients interpret financial data, manage performance, and plan for long-term sustainability. This position is ideal for an experienced financial professional who combines strong technical skills with excellent communication and a passion for mission-driven work.

Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS):

  • Serve as a strategic financial advisor to nonprofit clients, supporting executive teams and boards
  • Develop and maintain multi-year financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and scenario analyses
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of board reporting packages and management dashboards
  • Perform high-level financial analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Guide clients through budgeting processes, including annual budgets and mid-year reforecasts
  • Support clients during audits, compliance reviews, and strategic planning sessions
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting tools and advisory service delivery

Qualifications Senior Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS):

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or CFA license preferred
  • Minimum of six years accounting, financial planning & analysis experience
  • Public accounting experience is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex financial information for diverse audiences
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting tools, experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, or similar service orientation
  • Experience working independently in a remote environment is preferred
  • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is $40/hour - $55/hour, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and support opportunities for growth and advancement within our organization.
