2025 Fall Intern - CDMO Management
The Opportunity
The Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) within end-to-end Supply Chain Management was established in 2021 to enable seamless collaboration across the Roche- and Genentech functions with a network of 160+ partners. The CDMO manages a business (spend) of approximately 1.9b CHF.
You will support key activities, which enable the organization to fulfill its mission. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is deeply curious and energized by learning. You should be comfortable with working through ambiguity and be able to prioritize and manage multiple demands and commitments.
This internship position is located in South San Francisco, Remote.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a work product team with the goal of consolidating and optimizing the CDMO network
Support new processes and tools development according to lean and agile principles
Other activities as assigned by the supervisor supporting the CDMO's transformations
Program Highlights
Intensive 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
Program start dates are in Ago and Sep of 2025.
Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Final presentations of project work to senior leaders.
Lead or participate in intern committees to design and coordinate program events and initiatives.
Professional & personal development curriculum throughout the program, including networking opportunities, workshops, and panel discussions.
Participate in volunteer projects, social events, and team-building activities.
Who You Are
Any Degree Level: Undergraduates who have completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework at a university with major in Engineering or Pharmacy
Experience with leadership – building and/or leading a team, project or equivalent
Experience with project management
Proficiency with MS Office , Google suite is a plus
Cross-cultural experience is a plus
Ability to intake and synthesize information
Use quantitative and qualitative approaches to solve business problems
Exhibit a passion for high quality and strive for continuous improvement
Knowledge of financial and management accounting fundamentals is a plus
Knowledge of lean and/or agile fundamentals is a plus
Flexibility in problem-solving and work hours to meet business objectives
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence others and work as part of a team
The expected salary range for this role, based on the primary location for this position of California is $45.00 - $50.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
