Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Training Instructional Design Consultant to join our growing learning and development consulting team. You will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge, Instructor-Led Training, self-paced eLearning courses and system training simulations using rapid training development tools (Assima, WalkMe and SAP Enable). Your expertise will be crucial in creating highly effective learning products that drive user adoption and proficiency in enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of a Senior Training Lead, the Instructional Designer is responsible for the following:
Support a team of junior training developers, providing guidance, oversight, and ensuring project deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards.
Develop a comprehensive range of training materials related to enterprise systems and processes, including e-learning modules, system simulations, instructor-led training materials, and quick reference guides.
Leverage industry-leading tools (e.g., Assima, SAP Enable Now, WalkMe, Articulate Storyline) to create innovative and effective training materials in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate closely with clients and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand specific training needs and develop tailored, user-centric solutions.
Develop and maintain a consistent design approach across all training materials using a QA and Project Standards Guide as well as standardized templates based on each project requirement.
Manage multiple project assignments simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and ensuring efficient project execution aligned with schedules.
Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in instructional design and adult learning theories.
Required Skillsets:
This a remoted position based in the United States – must be available to work primarily on Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Proven expertise with rapid training development tools, with strong preference for Assima and WalkMe.
Minimum of 4-5 years of instructional design experience, specifically in enterprise systems and applications training within a corporate or consulting environment.
Minimum of 2-3 years in a client facing internal or external consulting role for Instructional Design.
Demonstrated proficiency in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and eLearning best practices.
Strong understanding of fundamental business processes within modern enterprises, including Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Human Resources.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts to produce high-quality learning deliverables aligned with client expectations and learning needs.
Exceptional English language skills, including a deep understanding of grammar in both writing and speaking.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools to measure and report on training effectiveness.
Superior collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and creating inclusive learning experiences.
Demonstrated ability to recognize different learning styles and adjusting teaching methods to suit individual needs.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related technical discipline required
Master's degree desirable
