NeoGenomics is looking for a Contingent Sourcing Specialist within the Supply Chain department remotely, who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

Position Summary:

The Sourcing Specialist supports and negotiates sourcing requests and spend categories, to optimally meet the needs of the operations of the business.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Source and negotiate competitive cost solutions for individual or RFQ level requests in a timely manner that best supports the core objectives of the company, including quality and delivery requirements.
  • Evaluate company services and quotes to identify the most desirable suppliers.
  • Utilize experience by providing alternative product solutions or recommendations in competitive situations or when a functional equivalent is permitted.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships and provide insight into supplier performance; work with suppliers to resolve any quality, price, delivery and invoice discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchase price to meet the organization’s financial goals for existing products and supplier relationships.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships within NeoGenomics to understand current and future business needs on a timely basis.
  • Prepare plans for negotiating for manager to review for negotiating deals and contracts with suppliers based on business requirements, including pricing, quantity, and delivery schedules.
  • Use data to drive decisions and provide market/competitive feedback while supporting the organization and providing visibility and accessibility to supplier metrics, tools and processes.
  • Support the development of category strategies through data gathering and provide strategic insight to supplier opportunities and risks.
  • Achieves desired level of competency and accuracy for the main department processes and responsibilities of assigned position, as defined in established SOPs
  • Works productively and efficiently to achieve company and departmental goals
  • Communicates effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Adheres to NeoGenomics Laboratories core values, safety, compliance, and Company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by Sourcing Purchasing Director or Manager.

Experience, Education, and Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree in business or a related field

OR non-degreed candidates with minimum of >5 years of related experience.

  • 3+ years previous related experience.
  • Prefer experience in biotech/laboratory environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including all Microsoft Office programs with Excel skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a growing, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
  • Experienced at building positive relationships with people and teams across a broad, diverse organization
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • The highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Knowledge of standard purchasing and negotiating practices.
  • Purchasing certification preferred.
