The Opportunity
Adept Group is seeking a Packaging Engineer (1099 Contractor) to add to our team! This candidate would have full packaging development experience and experience with SAP/PLM data entry. They would also have a quality control or data validation background.
This is a 1099 Contractor (Independent Contractor) opportunity for 40 of hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter packaging-related data into SAP as part of a backlog project (approx. 5500 SKUs).
Ensure completeness across 22 defined data fields per SKU.
Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to interpret existing data and configure SAP inputs.
Maintain accurate documentation and apply QC and data validation logic.
Refine material classifications in SAP (e.g., subcategories within “plastic”).
Typical Day to Day:
Independent SAP data entry and quality control checks.
Virtual collaboration with IT and packaging teams.
Troubleshooting and refining entries based on packaging criteria.
Maintaining documentation and updating progress.
Requirements:
Strong packaging knowledge.
SAP or PLM data entry experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently with a focus on data quality and completeness.
QC or data validation background.
Nice to Haves:
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and documentation tools.
Experience collaborating with IT or working on ERP integrations.
Knowledge of packaging material classifications and technical specs.
