Join us as a Sr. UM Coordinator — drive efficiency, resolve critical requests, and help improve healthcare processes every day.

We are looking for a Senior Utilization Management (UM) Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our Utilization Management department. This individual will serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, manage incoming requests, and assist with the coordination of special projects. The Sr. UM Coordinator will also contribute to process improvements and support testing efforts for new systems and enhancements.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries related to UM processing, delivering timely and accurate responses.
  • Manage the UM team’s inquiry mailbox, reviewing and routing requests appropriately.
  • Process special handling requests, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Assist with identifying trends and performing root cause analysis to improve existing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for new systems or enhancements by documenting and reporting results.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Support general UM processing tasks and complete special assignments from management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Utilization Management or claims processing, preferably in dental.

 

What You Bring:

  • Familiarity with dental terminology is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven and focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Comfortable interacting with individuals across all levels of the organization.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $47,000 - $57,000, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.

 

Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
