Description

Position Summary:

The Day Services QIDP Director is responsible for conducting ongoing internal program systems audits and associated activities for the following Waiver programs: Day Habilitation, Community Habilitation, Community Prevocational Services, Pathway to Employment, Supported Employment and Respite/Rec.

The Day Service QIDP Director is responsible for tracking and reporting that all such services are in compliance with all OPWDD regulations and assists with all formal internal audits conducted for these services. The position assists in conjunction with the program director for supervisory authority in terms of required documentation for the Day Hab Support Coordinators and will work collaboratively with all Day Hab Program Directors, Compliance Staff and Fiscal.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:

Program Operations

  • Collect and record all required OPWDD/Heartshare forms outlined on the Tracking form for Required Dissemination of Reports - Weekly/Monthly /Quarterly/Semiannual forms. Create and send spreadsheet to Directors and Vice President of Day services each month.
  • Create and maintain master spreadsheets for all wavier program individuals ensuring that all required documents have been obtained.
  • Review all program attendance in Precision care each Thursday and send reports to program Directors and SR directors who have any outstanding issues.
  • Conduct annual OPWDD documentation compliance audits for all individual served in Waiver Day Habilitation, Community Habilitation, Respite and Pre-Vocational programs.  Issue full audit report to the program with statement of deficiencies as applicable, copying all required parties.
  • Assist in ensuring all Plans of Corrective Action are completed fully and timely.
  • Organize and maintain in an orderly fashion all spreadsheets and audit materials.
  • As instructed, provide training and support to day services program management teams to ensure full understanding of OPWDD documentation requirements.
  • In conjunction with the program directors will supervise the Day Hab support coordinators.
  • Assist Directors in ensuring OPWDD compliance, including recommending changes to documentation structure and practices, if necessary.
  • In partnership with the Billing Compliance Coordinator, interface with and provide documentation on internal billing audits and the annual agency audit.
  • Working in partnership with the Coordinator of Precision Care Services, to provide Precision Care technical assistance to staff as needed.
  • Participate as part of the Day service audit team with onsite audits.
  • Serve as a role model for individuals and staff.  Abide by agency dress code.  Always conduct oneself in a professional manner. Avoid gossip and negative discussions.
  • Remain sensitive and responsive to cultural differences of agency service recipients and staff.
  • Participate in in-service training and on-site workshops, as required, for professional growth and development.  Attend external training and workshops as appropriate.
  • Represent HeartShare, both within and outside the organization, in a manner that promotes the mission, vision and values of the agency.  Personally adhere to all agency policies and procedures. 
  • Using positive approaches when handling difficult situations; avoiding gossip and negative discussions; and being flexible in adapting to change. 
  • Undertaking any additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by the Day Hab site director or asst. director.   

Documentation and Fiscal

  • Review of all Medicaid required documents for each program in Pcare and create Spreadsheet with all information.
  • Maintain required Medicaid information and audits.

Quality Assurance

  • Along with the Day Hab Director and Coordinator meet and exceed all regulatory standards, and that program staff follow all state and federal regulations, as well as HeartShare’s internal policies and procedures.

Staff Supervision and Development

  • Participating in the interviewing, hiring and initial in-service orientation of the Day Hab Support Coordinator.  Providing ongoing and timely supervision of assigned staff, including quarterly observations.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree preferred.
  • QIDP experience preferred.
  • Bi-Lingual Preferred.
  • Proficient writing and computer skills.
  • Excellent management and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and communication skills.
  • Experience in person-centered care and knowledge of best practices for supporting individuals with IDD/Neurodiverse
