We are currently seeking a Full-time Infection Control Nurse to join our team at Lansing Correctional Facility located in Lansing, Kansas.

The Infection Control Nurse is responsible for performing a variety of duties involved in the prevention and control of infectious disease to include the collection, definition, interpretation and reporting of data in a systematic manner. Assist with care plan development and provision of care for patients with acute and chronic infectious disease and serves as a consultant for nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required
• 1 to 3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
• Registered Nurse (RN) license or ability to obtain one required
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
