Are you ready to take the next step in your category and insights career? ECOS is seeking a passionate, data-driven leader to serve as our Director of Category & Shopper Insights. In this pivotal role, you’ll transform syndicated data into compelling selling stories, uncover consumer and shopper trends to guide innovation, and oversee omnichannel shopper marketing efforts through a direct report. You’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Retail partners to uncover growth opportunities and position ECOS as the leader in clean, sustainable household products.


This is an ideal opportunity for a Senior Manager with a strong command of syndicated data and shopper insights who is ready to lead at the Director level with strategic ownership, cross-functional visibility, and team leadership responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

· Lead category management strategy across ECOS’ core and emerging product lines.

· Analyze syndicated and panel data (e.g., Nielsen, SPINS, Numerator) to identify trends, whitespace, and pricing/promo opportunities.

· Develop retailer-specific and cross-channel selling stories to support Sales and drive expanded distribution.

· Monitor competitive activity and market shifts; deliver quarterly trend presentations to cross-functional partners.

· Inform innovation pipeline based on consumer demand, category dynamics, and white space.

· Support Stage-Gate commercialization by delivering data-driven insights for go/no-go decisions and product positioning.

· Manage and mentor the Manager of Retail Media & Shopper Marketing to ensure effective execution of omni-channel campaigns.

· Collaborate with Sales to tailor shopper marketing programs that align with account strategies and seasonal windows.

· Partner with retailers and media collectives (e.g., Walmart Connect, AMC, Roundel) to maximize ROI on shopper investment.

Requirements

· 6+ years of experience in CPG category management, shopper insights, or retail marketing.

· Demonstrated expertise with syndicated data tools (NielsenIQ, IRI, SPINS, Numerator, etc.).

· Experience leading category growth strategies within natural, sustainable, or wellness-focused brands preferred.

· Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives.

· Experience managing direct reports and leading cross-functional collaboration.

· Passion for sustainability, wellness, and values-led business.
