Job description

IEM is the largest independent full-line manufacturer of electrical distribution and control systems in North America. PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Infrastructure Manager will oversee the enterprise-wide support, maintenance, and strategic development of centralized IT infrastructure and cloud-based solutions. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and security of systems that support Microsoft 365 business operations across the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise infrastructure systems, including cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), data centers, networking, and storage.
  • Ensure high availability and performance of infrastructure services through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and incident management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategies with business goals and application requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) for infrastructure and cloud services.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution to ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and security.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.


SUPERVISION OF PERSONNEL:

  • Initially this role will have 3 direct reports and is expected to grow to lead a team of up to 6 infrastructure and cloud team members

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience supporting M365 Services.
  • 3+ years of people management and performance reviews experience.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing and accounting principles. 
  • Experience with helpdesk and ticketing systems. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of gathering technical requirements and translating technical details into clear, user-friendly instructions for end-users. 
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently. 

 

JOB LOCATION:

  • The position is fully remote with minimal travel required to IEM facilities or conferences.
