The following position is to join our RTX Process, Transformation and Systems (PST) Team.

RTX has an opening for an Associates Director, Data Foundation Product Owner (Associate Director, Business Systems and Transformation) role

In this role, you will oversee the management and governance of curated datasets. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of the data assets that drive our business. You will lead a team of data engineers to acquire, transform, aggregate, and refine raw data into high-quality, published datasets while ensuring compliance, data masking, security, and robust data observability.

What You Will Do:

  • Pipeline Development: Build secure and robust data ingestion pipelines to acquire data from SAP S/4, ECC and other SAP ecosystems.
  • Data Harmonization: Harmonize data sources to ensure consistency and compatibility across the organization.
  • Curated Dataset Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of curated datasets, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Data Quality & Observability: Implement and manage data quality processes, data observability tools, and monitoring systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Lineage & Metadata: Establish and maintain comprehensive data lineage and metadata enrichment practices to provide transparency and context for all data assets.
  • Data Governance & Compliance: Enforce data governance policies, compliance standards, and data masking techniques to protect sensitive information and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Data Catalog Management: Oversee the management and enhancement of the data catalog to ensure data assets are easily discoverable and accessible to authorized users.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data engineers responsible for transforming, aggregating, and publishing refined datasets from raw data ingested by the ingestion team.
  • Security Implementation: Apply robust security measures to protect data assets, including access controls, encryption, and data masking techniques.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with data ingestion teams, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure data assets meet their requirements.
  • Travel up to 25% domestically

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 10+ years' experience in data management or data engineering and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline'; Advanced Degree and 7+ years' related experience.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and data security practices.
  • Hands-on experience with data acquisition, transformation, aggregation, and data modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in data catalog tools, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.
  • Experience with data masking, encryption, and access control methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data observability tools and data quality monitoring systems..
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience with BW, HANA, and or related SAP data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience with delivering data as a service (DaaS) concept.
  • Experience implementing and managing data governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
