JOB SUMMARY

The Data Modeler plays a pivotal role in transforming raw data into reports to support day-to-day operations across the Saint Francis Healthcare System. The Data Modeler uses AI and Machine Learning analytical tools to translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models to improve process efficiencies and identifies inadequacies in infrastructures and processes and recommends improvement opportunities. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Saint Francis service standards. Core Responsibilities: Building, Validating, Visualizing Data Science Predictive Model Analytics: Building AI leveraged predictive model deliverables resulting from customer requests. Will require specification creation and collaboration with customers. Will require familiarity with algorithm comparison and ability to select optimal methodologies. Project Management: Manages analytic requests from end to end from scoping and requirements through publication. Works within defined role to complete assigned portions of projects. May be required to attend regular workgroup and other committee meetings, as well as provide updates on achievement of project milestones. Analytics Requests Fulfillment: Provides meaningful deliverables to defined leaders and groups across the healthcare system according to agreed upon time frames and frequencies to aid in timely decision making. Generates actionable interactive deliverables utilizing existing tools. (Alteryx, Tableau, Snowflake, etc.).Insight: Creates value for internal customers and clients by providing new insights. Works closely with key end users to analyze and define analytics needs. Uses critical thinking and analytic expertise to determine the most appropriate way to translate needs into defined analytic deliverables. Collaborates with requestors to understand the business or clinical rationale driving their request. Works with requestor to ensure the specifications are enough to generate the analytics and eliminate unnecessary rework. Model Testing and Implementation: Continuous Education: Tests theories by creating models and experimenting with available tools and data. Stays abreast of changes in Epic, AI, and Predictive Modeling applications, which may require maintenance of Epic certification. Stays current on the report writing tools used within our environment.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period, with benefits)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or related field required.

Experience:

 - A minimum of five (5) years experience in Data Science analytics utilizing AI and Machine Learning tools required.

- Working knowledge of healthcare terminology and experience in healthcare required.

- Able to collaborate with colleagues throughout all levels of Saint Francis Healthcare System required. - - Able to understand the requests of clinical and business end-users and leverage DS tools to address clinical and business needs required.

- Alteryx proficiency preferred Tableau proficiency preferred Experience in Agile development methodologies preferred

- Minimum of 6 years of software/technology experience, with 2+ years of hands-on AI/Machine Learning experience

- Experience designing and implementing data science applications across a large enterprise

- Design and develop ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx to be used by Tableau

- Experience with data security and data access controls and design

- Senior level SQL scripting experience

- Ability to work at both a strategic level in defining DS standards enterprise wide, and in a hands-on development capacity

- Excellent verbal skills (must be capable of communicating clearly and effectively to business users, Technology leadership and internal team members)

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including collaboration, facilitation, conflict management, and negotiation Detail oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills to multi task

- Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while remaining professional and courteous

- Able to work independently or as part of a team   

Minimum annual rate: $83,470/yr
