Position Overview:
The Associate, Securitization will play a key role in supporting the execution of securitization and capital markets initiatives for CrossCountry Mortgage. This role offers broad exposure to RMBS transactions — especially in Non-QM and other non-agency asset types — and involves direct interaction with rating agencies, banks, legal counsel, and other external partners.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate across internal and external stakeholders to support execution of RMBS deals, including data prep, due diligence, offering documents, and tie-outs.
Evaluate loan-level characteristics to help construct optimal collateral pools. Analyze eligibility, diversity, and performance metrics based on rating agency and investor criteria.
Assist in securitization structuring by performing cash flow modeling, deal sizing, and waterfall analysis. Leverage Intex and Excel to support issuance decisions.
Oversee the preparation and validation of loan tapes, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all transaction documentation.
Interface with rating agencies, accountants, investment banks, and legal counsel. Manage deliverables and timelines to meet issuance deadlines.
Stay current on securitization market trends, rating agency updates, and regulatory developments in the mortgage and RMBS sectors.
Collaborate with data and technology teams to enhance and streamline securitization workflows, including tape creation and reporting automation.
Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to enhance data accuracy and process efficiency.
Contribute to the development of proprietary models and systems for portfolio management and securitization.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in investment analysis and portfolio management, or securitization.
2 + years of experience in securitization and structured finance including investment banks, buy-side credit firms, and other capital markets platforms, preferred.
Experience working with or at a credit rating agency (e.g., S&P, Fitch, KBRA), preferred.
Knowledge of residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and the non-agency market, preferred.
Proficiency in financial modeling.
Advanced Excel skills.
Familiarity with Intex, SQL or Python, preferred.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
