Job Description

Leads a team responsible for the planning, budgeting, forecasting, allocations, financial analysis, and risk-based capital planning of all insurance and corporate activities. Effectively interacts with multiple levels of leadership within the organization including Senior and Executive Leadership to provide insight into the financial and operational realities of leadership priorities both pre- and post- decision.

What You'll Do!

  • Support decision making and accurate planning through the development of financial models, summary of assumptions and key financial metric analyses.

  • Continuously refine projections and analyze variances of operating entities, insurance programs and other financial and operational key analytics.

  • Prepare succinct and clear executive presentations that simplify complex topics, often with time sensitive deliverables

  • Expert on Blue Cross NC’s business and financial drivers

  • Drives profitable growth by improving visibility, forecasting, consolidation and analysis of results and key metrics while advising senior management on insights and recommended actions

  • Oversee the maintenance and further development of robust monthly reporting packages that provide for timely and reliable financial and operational information for internal decision-making processes, including analytics that accompany the financial reports.

  • Liaise with Accounting, Actuarial and Tax professionals for specific subject matter expertise while maintaining strong baseline knowledge as part of core competency

  • Structures, manages, and coordinates complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and 10 years of related experience

  •  In lieu of degree, 12+ years of experience in related field

  • Comfortable shifting priorities and navigating evolving business needs

  • Experience with Adaptive Planning Tools, Power BI, and Excel

  • Ability to foster and build relationships across the organization and with stakeholders

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets,  licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs. 

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.
 

$119,900.00 - $227,800.00
