Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Self-directed prioritization and completion of work. Sets goals to align with organizational and team needs. Designs spreadsheet and database deliverables using analytic business tools. Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual System performance reports, scorecards, and dashboards. Communicates observations to appropriate stakeholders. Produces regulatory submissions for external bodies (including HSCRC and MHA) in compliance with published requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensures data integrity, internal controls, and audit trails are maintained. Reviews various datasets at a detail and summary level. Analyzes data to reconcile, confirm accuracy, and identify variances. Researches outcome drivers and root cause where applicable.
  • Manages small to medium and aspects of larger revenue cycle and business applications projects, including system implementations and upgrades. Defines scope with project sponsor. Engages customer to gather project requirements.  Assesses needs and establishes timelines. Plans, organizes, and facilitates work plan.  Coordinates with lead user, developer, and Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) to create, test and implement the report or process requested. Implements and monitors ongoing process and/or deliverable quality controls. Communicates effectively with stakeholders, team members, and immediate supervisor. Provides information regarding work progress, completed actions, and issues in a timely and effective manner. Instrumental in preparing comprehensive reporting packets and conducting presentations to UMMS Committees and executive leadership.
  • Formats, compiles, organizes, and stores data. Documents processes clearly for analytics team and prepares end user guides where applicable.
  • Provides analytic and technical support to end users and Analytics and Technology Division team members. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for continual revenue cycle process improvement. Where appropriate, functions as system administrator for business applications/systems, including workflow build and security configuration.

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or information technology related field OR
  • equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 3 years’ experience in analyzing and balancing financial and statistical information as well as planning, coordinating, and implementing operational business solutions.
  • Proficiency with the following applications: MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Access. PowerPoint & Tableau is preferred
  • Minimal knowledge or demonstrated ability to learn and understand billing and compliance (including HSCRC/CMS) regulations, CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), and ICD-10 code sets.

Pay Range: $33.36-$46.7
