We have a great opportunity for a motivated and stable Junior Configuration Engineer (XML) who is ready to solve complex issues and would like to work closely with the product.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing technical tasks related to XML files that are used as configuration files for the report generation engine and Azure DevOps pipelines. You will work in a team directly with the client, so it is a great opportunity to build strong professional relationships. Are you with us?

CUSTOMER
Our client is a UK-based environmental and sustainability reporting company that supports businesses in complying with or committing to a wide range of global packaging, plastics, tax, EPR, and corporate metric submissions.

PROJECT
Join our team and support a UK-based environmental and sustainability reporting company.

Each report is generated from an XML configuration file that defines how data should be structured and formatted according to national regulations. These XML files act as the blueprint for the system and require regular updates as rules change.

This hands-on technical involves working directly with a small engineering team and the UK client, and requires strong attention to detail.

Job Description
  • Create and maintain XML configuration files for the reporting engine
  • Work with Azure DevOps pipelines to test and deploy configurations
  • Verify and validate the accuracy of generated reports
  • Communicate directly with the UK Customer to clarify requirements or review results
  • Collaborate with a team of 3-4 engineers in a structured, flexible environment

Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in a technical or support engineering role
  • Solid understanding of XML structure and best practices
  • Experience with Git and version control workflows
  • Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ideally Azure DevOps)
  • Intermediate or higher level of English (Upper-Intermediate preferred), as communication with the client is in English

WOULD BE A PLUS

  • Experience of working with Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Background in reporting tools, environmental data, or configuration-based systems
  • Knowledge of automated validation or test processes
