Position Summary
Promote public safety and maintain effective customer relations with TSSA’s regulated industries by providing regulatory compliance assistance, Customer compliance reports, training, training manual development and technical feedback to regional inspectors (& regulated customers) in the delivery of public safety services. This position requires technical expertise in the Fuels sector.
Job Responsibilities
- Enhances public safety by providing technical and regulatory assistance and safety training to TSSA clients.
- Achieves program results in support of corporate objectives by communicating the company’s vision and priorities; providing technical and regulatory leadership and direction; monitoring client compliance results against established operations and criteria
- Ensures a positive image of the company and maintains effective relationships by providing timely information to customers; building credibility with key external and internal stakeholders; educating industry personnel and the public; building employee commitment; communicating TSSA’s corporate values; adhering to and promoting ethical business practices
- Achieves objectives by forecasting functional requirements; participating in the preparation of an annual program; contacting customers, initiating corrective actions; analyzing and recommending information and trends. Develops customer compliance report and help customers to reach acceptable compliance level.
- Ensures customer service excellence by upholding that established service levels and standards (key customer focus values) are consistently adhered to; leading commitment to quality service; monitoring service results; representing the company to customers. Develop customer support manual, guides, tools etc.
- Ensures a healthy and safe work environment by executing the program’s occupational health and safety priorities; implementing risk control plans; leading team discussions, as required, to enhance individual and team effectiveness at working safely; demonstrating healthy and safe behavior and promoting others to do the same.
- Use of technical knowledge, effective interpretation and application of Regulations and Codes and application of risk methodologies. Public safety decisions and resolutions to issues that may or may not fall under clear policies or standards. Thorough knowledge of the Technical Standards & Safety Act and other related regulations, standards and codes.
- Work with owners, operators or other members of the public to resolve non-compliance and safety issues. Share information that helps regulated parties understand their safety priorities and compliance requirements.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required
- G1 certificate or equivalent required
- OBT 1 Certificate of Qualification or Liquid Fuels Certification PM 1 or equivalent
