The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Information Security to lead our team of globally dispersed engineers. As a Cyber Incident Response Manager, you will lead a team responsible for responding to, remediating, and documenting information security incidents. Your team will handle alerts from Advanced Threat Appliances and SIEM dashboards, tickets, emails, and phone calls. You will actively hunt the enterprise for insecure, suspicious, or malicious activity and review data processed within the SIEM to find incident evidence and suspicious events, as well as out-of-scope events.

This is a work from home position within the US. 

The Main Responsibilities
  • Support Security projects to improve Cyber Defense Team or Lumen's security posture. 
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Metric gathering and reporting for operational support.
  • Oversee daily triage and support for escalated issues.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
  • Support and contribute to security incident and threat response.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on security best practices
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security management.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, incident response methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in cyber security technologies and best practices.
  • Managing in high pressure situations.
  • Experience with security incident response and risk management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with IT and business teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$108,896 - $145,195 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$114,082 - $152,109 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
