Key Responsibilities Of The Controller
As the Controller, you’ll take full ownership of accounting operations while supporting executive leadership with timely financial insights. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Oversight: Manage AP, AR, billing, and general ledger activities with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
Cash Flow Management: Monitor bank accounts and cash flow to maintain financial health and ensure operational stability
Month-End Close & Reporting: Lead the close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and timely delivery of financial statements
Audit & Compliance: Oversee external audit processes and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
Tax Management: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of sales, use, and other applicable tax filings
Strategic Financial Analysis: Deliver detailed financial reporting and analysis to support executive-level planning and decision-making
What We’re Looking For In a Controller
The ideal Controller candidate brings a mix of technical expertise and leadership strength:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
CPA certification is highly desirable
At least 3+ years in a senior accounting or Controller role
Strong analytical skills, financial reporting expertise, and experience with forecasting and budgeting
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel; ERP experience is a plus
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate across departments
