Job description

Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain relational databases.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
  • Collaborate with other developers to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.
  • Document database designs and procedures.
  • Develop database unit tests to verify procedure functionality.
  • Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in database development.
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance.\
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with other database languages and tools.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices.
  • Proficiency in .NET Web application development using C#.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $77,600.00/Yr. - USD $129,600.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
