The Patient Access Representative is primarily responsible for collecting information for registration of new and incoming patients.

  • Greet all patients and visitors; guide them to appropriate areas as needed.
  • Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update patient profile.
  • Collect payment and/or assist patient with minor billing concerns.
  • Scan pertinent information into EMR system (HIPPA compliance, authorizations, medical records, etc.).
  • Respond to non-medical patient emails and phone calls.
  • Demonstrate and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values.
  • Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, OBGYN a plus.
  • General knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Preferred experience working with an electronic medical records system, eCW a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and high-stress atmosphere.
  • Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
