Seeking a Controller to assist the CFO in all daily financial operations, including month-end close review, analysis and action planning, daily key performance indicator monitoring, as well as oversight of supply chain and revenue cycle operations. Assists the CFO in safeguarding assets and ensuring financial statements and records are maintained in accordance with GAAP. Provides hands-on training, continuous improvement, and support to department leaders and staff. Responsible for the preparation of the annual detailed operating budget, routine forecasts, and audit requirements. Has responsibility for Shared Services, Lab, and GME entities, as well as other support as appropriate.
Responsibilities
Assists the CFO in maintaining complete and accurate financial records on a timely basis.
Prepares all required reconciliations (e.g., bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, income statement accounts).
Prepares Book Analysis for management and corporate review.
Completes quarterly Audit Pack in a timely manner.
Calculates and files sales tax returns.
Prepares and mails A/R billings.
Prepares journal entries as needed.
Reviews general ledger for appropriateness and completeness.
Maintains all construction-in-progress accounts.
Monitors fixed asset accounts and depreciation reconciliation.
Trains, counsels, disciplines, or commends employees as necessary to achieve operational excellence.
Communicates changes, requirements, and updates to department employees.
Conducts departmental orientation for new employees, including safety practices, disaster response, fire response, operations, and policies.
Maintains effective working relationships within the department and across departments.
Answers calls professionally and routes appropriately.
Monitors daily operations, sets priorities, and assigns staff as needed.
Participates in departmental work to ensure high-quality operations.
Acts as a cooperative, active member of the healthcare team.
Assists other departments as needed.
Responsible for staffing and expense control in the department.
Success Factors
Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
Minimum of 25 years of experience, preferably in healthcare.
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred.
Basic computer knowledge. Advanced use of Microsoft Office such as Excel. PowerBI would be a plus.
Ability to use standard office equipment.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
