Sr. Financial Analyst-FP&A

Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a key role in shaping the financial strategies of a high-growth, private equity-backed organization. This position will provide critical financial insights and strategic recommendations that drive business performance and decision-making. The Senior FP&A Analyst will focus on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and developing tools to track key financial and operational metrics.

Responsibilities

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting:

• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.
• Develop advanced financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Analyze variances between actuals and budgets, identifying trends and key insights.
  
  

Strategic Financial Analysis

• Conduct in-depth analysis to evaluate revenue, cost drivers, and profitability.
• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost control.
• Support leadership with actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  
  

Operational Metrics And KPI Development

• Design and implement dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide real-time analysis of financial and operational performance.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Identify and initiate enhancements in the FP&A process, focusing on reducing the time it takes to generate standard reporting.
  
  

Collaboration And Leadership

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Operations, and Sales, to ensure alignment of financial goals.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and impactful manner.
  
  

Required

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, advanced Excel, and data analysis.
  
  

Preferred

• MBA, CPA, or other professional designation.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive industries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
