Assists in evaluating and analyzing fund requests to ensure they meet applicable legal requirements. Ensures briefing, tracking, and proper payment of these requests along with collecting data and information for reporting and analysis to comply with federal or state reporting guidelines.
Responsibilities
Analyzes and provides preliminary recommendations on eligibility relating to federal or state funds and related departmental requests.
Gathers and tracks data and information related to federal or state funds for analysis and reporting.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal or state funds guidance/guidelines and application to internal County operations and external programs.
Serves as a liaison between staff, management, and other departments to facilitate the flow of functions and information on any relevant federal or state funding request.
Participates in meetings as assigned by supervisor as deemed necessary to accomplish tasks.
Prepares reports related to federal or state fund use.
Prepares written memoranda and briefings related to funding efforts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Training:
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study. Two (2) years of work related experience. Experience in Federal grants and reporting preferred.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public.
