We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, you will support the administration of the company’s global employee equity plans including month-end close processes for all equity functions. This role will be responsible for the administration and related accounting functions for the Company’s equity plans, including equity grants, option exercises, award vesting and ESPP purchases.  In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and People teams to assist in leading the equity administration and related accounting functions. The Senior Accountant is detailed oriented with high energy and integrity and thrives in a dynamic environment. You are self-motivated, eager to learn and contribute, and focused on providing high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day administration of the company’s equity programs, including processing new equity awards, exercises, cancellations and ESPP purchases.
  • Maintain recordkeeping of our equity data using the Equity Edge Online platform.
  • Prepare and maintain transaction details to support the accuracies of SEC forms 3 and 4.
  • Assist with the preparation of the stock-related tables for 10-Q/K and Proxy filings.
  • Prepare equity reports and assist in the review and reconciliation of equity information.
  • Maintain supporting equity program documents for audit and support data requests.
  • Collaborate on equity-related communications ensuring clarity and consistency across all channels.
  • Partner effectively and proactively with the Payroll, Legal, Finance, and People teams on equity-related matters as needed.
  • Prepare journal entries for assigned areas, including but not limited to, stock-based compensation and equity-related entries ensuring accurate and timely records of all financial transactions.
  • Analyze monthly financial statements and variances against prior periods providing concise explanations to support findings.
  • Prepare work papers and month-end reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts and select income statement accounts to support amounts reported in the financial statements and general ledger. This includes identifying discrepancies, providing potential resolutions when necessary.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of internal controls over assigned GL areas and collaborate with the internal audit team to address any identified deficiencies. Ensure compliance with all SOX and IPE requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to refine and streamline the equity administration and general ledger processes.

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a similar field.
  • BS/BA degree in accounting or related area.
  • Self-motivated, strong attention to detail, and able to complete tasks with consistent follow-through and minimal supervision.
  • High-level of critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Team-oriented, dependable and flexible with a strong work ethic; able to maintain strict confidentiality and data privacy.
  • Collaborative and build strong cross functional working relationships with Payroll, Legal, Finance and People teams.
  • Strong understanding of month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP standards and understanding internal controls.
  • Proficient excel skills will be critical for the success of this role.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
