The Opportunity

The Online Marketing Specialist is responsible for day-to-day administration and operation of digital and email marketing activities within the Global Digital Hub for the Marketing Automation Chapter. This role focuses on supporting business partners by executing email marketing programs and projects, ensuring alignment with the digital strategy for Roche events, products, services, and campaigns.

The Online Marketing Specialist is able to follow and use existing processes and procedures to work effectively, develops and communicates project goals and handles tasks with flexibility and agility. The role maintains internal processes, documentation and communication plans while adhering to guidelines and best practices.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze email campaigns using tools like Marketo, SFMC, Braze, and OCE.

  • Develop and execute contextual transactional and outbound email communications.

  • Create and test user journeys, segmentation, localization, and asset creation for email campaigns.

  • Track and report on email campaign performance, providing insights for improvements.

  • Consult with stakeholders to understand preferences and develop solutions.

  • Ensure adherence to processes, documentation, and best practices.

  • Support global projects and initiatives as needed.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of professional email marketing experience, preferably in a global environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related field.

  • Proficient in HTML for email and landing page development is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of user journeys and campaign logic.

  • Experienced with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, Eloqua, or Braze preferred.

  • Innovative marketer aware of latest email and mobile marketing trends.

  • Basic SQL query experience for SFMC users preferred

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of balancing short- and long-term goals.

  • Autonomous operator with a proactive approach and customer-focused behavior.

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Interested in consultancy and training, with strong facilitation and presentation abilities.

  • Fluent English required
