Job Summary

The Scrum Master IV is a servant leader and coach for an agile delivery team within the Infrastructure and Security Management department. This role involves coaching, training, ceremony orchestration, and the escalation/removal of impediments to refine agile maturity and practices. The ISM Scrum Master IV will build a strong team culture focused on predictably delivering customer value and will ensure a healthy system is in place to provide visibility and insight on Product Increment and overall team health and maturity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scrum process and coach the team on how best to use scrum and Agile practices.
  • Manage inter-dependencies between agile teams.
  • Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Facilitate all team meetings, including Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective. Represent the team in the Scrum of Scrum coordination meeting and coordinate external dependencies within IT Shared Services. Facilitate preparation and readiness for ART events and assist the team in preparation for ART activities, including PI Planning, System Demos, and the Inspect and Adapt.
  • Work with Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning and keep the working backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
  • Anticipate and address potential or actual impediments to team delivery. Shield the teams from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity.
  • Guide the team in establishing normalized estimates and improve feature and story estimation. Teach problem-solving techniques and help the team become better problem-solvers.
  • Establish and analyze team productivity reports to aid in continuously improving flow predictability and velocity.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • EDUCATION: A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE: 6+ years of experience coaching as a Scrum Master to development teams. Experience facilitating agile ceremonies and/or team-building events. 1-3 years of experience working in Infrastructure and/or Security is highly preferred. Experience as a scrum master outside of software development is highly preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to structure complex problems, define and conduct critical analysis, extract key insights, and assist leaders in defining future state designs and adaptive implementation methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written) with all levels of leadership.
  • Strong conflict resolution and consensus-building skills.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Target Process, Service Now and related reporting tools and plug-ins.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$107,250.00 - $182,000.00
