Frank Semeraro Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in site work and underground utility construction, operating various heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, rollers, backhoes, and loaders. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for executing site excavation, grading, and trenching operations with precision and safety. This role demands a highly skilled individual capable of interpreting site plans and leading a team to ensure project success.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Perform site work and underground utility construction with precision and efficiency.
• Excavate for footings and foundations as required by project specifications.
• Conduct rough grading and fine grading using various machines, including bulldozers.
• Execute trenching for water, sewer, and storm systems, including trenches over five feet deep.
• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Interpret site plans and evaluate planned excavations to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Lead as the primary operator on job sites, coordinating with team members and other equipment operators.
• Proficiently operate all types of equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, rollers, backhoes, and loaders.
• Primarily focus on operating large excavators for trenching operations.
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• 3+ years of proven experience in site work and underground utility construction.
• Strong proficiency in operating a variety of heavy equipment, specifically large excavators, for example: CAT 320 size and larger machines.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate site plans and planned excavations.
• Good communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with crew members.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Commitment to safety, with an understanding of the responsibility involved in handling heavy machinery.
