The Charles Schwab Corporate Security team is hiring a highly engaged Security Manager. This is an incredible career opportunity working in a corporate and retail environment.
What You Will Do
Lead a Team of 44 contract security officers to ensure the safety and security of employees and operations.
Oversee daily business activities, life safety events, and coordinate effective emergency response efforts.
Plan and conduct annual disaster and emergency action drills in respective service center.
Provide professional oversight of a rapidly growing service center projected to support up to 5,000 employees.
Manage emergency response, investigations, physical security systems monitoring and managing business unit leaders’ relationships.
Oversee and manage budgets for contract security services.
Successfully manage your respective retail branch region and be a trusted resource and partner.
Build and maintain strong relationships with branch staff.
Must have strong report writing and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Monthly travel to retail branches within an assigned region to conduct onsite training for staff and present live training on different security/safety topics.
Work with retail branch staff to create and support business response plans (updated and published yearly).
Respond to incidents/threats and coordinate follow-up as needed, including necessary investigation and risk mitigation.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
2+ years of management experience in security/law enforcement/loss protection/safety/risk field
In the event of emergencies, must have the ability to take charge of maintaining order, safety and protect personnel and property
Ability to build a strong public-private partnership with local law enforcement and first responder agencies
Ability to become certified as a Red-Cross CPR Instructor, stop the bleed and blood borne pathogen training (Schwab will supply certification)
Proven competency with Windows based programs
Ability to adapt to a continually changing business and work environment and manage multiple priorities
Familiarity with security based access control systems, burglar alarm systems and fire monitoring systems
Must have strong interpersonal, listening and communications skills
Must have knowledge and experience in using proven risk assessment and risk mitigation practices
Must have strong leadership abilities and a strong executive presence
Preferred Qualifications
Professional accredited certifications preferred: ASIS, ATAP
