We are currently searching for a Senior Solutions Architect (International Banking):

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions across international banking teams.
  • Guide technical teams to ensure compliance with banking standards and proper use of technologies.
  • Act as a key liaison between stakeholders to understand business needs, operations, and policies.
  • Design, document, and implement scalable, secure, and high-quality architectural solutions.
  • Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Support modernization of legacy systems and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Coordinate technical tasks to meet project deadlines and architectural governance models.
  • Drive architectural best practices and compliance with security and regulatory standards.
  • Design and maintain reference architectures and architectural patterns.
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and internal teams (Security, Infrastructure, Data).
  • Provide mentorship to developers and technical leadership to cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate technical challenges and updates clearly across business and technology leaders.
  • Promote a high-performance and inclusive engineering culture.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture.
  • Experience designing and implementing distributed systems and microservices.
  • Deep understanding of architecture styles, software design patterns, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts (SSL, Certificates, Keystore/Truststore, Fortify, Blackduck).
  • Experience with network infrastructure, cloud migration, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Python, or Native apps.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, NestJS, Next.js, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Experience with API design, implementation, and SDLC management.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and financial institutions.

Desired:

  • Experience working at or with Scotiabank (Digital Factory).
  • Background in transformation projects or modernization of legacy systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud architecture governance and automation of architecture assessments.
  • Experience with training initiatives, documentation, and technical evangelism.

Languages:

  • Advanced Oral English (80%).
  • Native Spanish.

Notes:

  • Mexico City. Hybrid (3 days On-Site and 2 Remote).
