Job Description

Sobi is seeking a strategic, experienced, and passionate Infusion Educator Lead (IEL) to develop and oversee the national infusion educator strategy for the launch of a groundbreaking biologic therapy for uncontrolled gout. Reporting to the National Field Director, this critical role focuses on establishing and leading a team of infusion educators, creating educational frameworks, refining training resources, and collaborating with outsourced partners to ensure end-user education in support of safe and effective biologic administration across various site-of-care settings. The IEL will serve as the strategic lead and liaison for the infusion educator team, ensuring alignment with cross-functional commercial teams and focusing on measurable outcomes related to stakeholder engagement, clinical excellence, and customer experience. The ideal candidate will embody Sobi’s core values, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and engagement across the entire team.

This is a remote position; however, we provide the necessary tools and support to ensure you can work effectively from anywhere within the United States.

Scope of the Job:

The Infusion Educator Lead is responsible for driving performance and fostering a high-impact culture, and ensuring the successful execution of launch strategies and subsequent commercial tactics through accountability, coaching, and collaboration. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive infusion education strategy for the planned biologic therapy launch, targeting infusion care-delivery teams across a diverse infusion site settings, including hospitals, clinics, and infusion centers.
  • Co-lead the recruitment, training, and development of the Infusion Educator Team, fostering a culture of accountability, clinical expertise, and patient-centric care alongside external partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Infusion Educator Team/ external vendor partners, and Sobi’s Leadership and field launch teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic partnerships with key stakeholder groups, organized customer networks, and national congresses (e.g., RNS), effectively driving educational initiatives and aligning with broader commercial objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and sales, to align educational initiatives with overall commercial strategy and ensure consistent messaging, and execution for targeted stakeholders.
  • Oversee the development of educational materials and training programs, tailored to meet the unique needs of various infusion sites, focusing on biologic administration, patient safety, and adverse event management.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, tracking progress against defined objectives, including cross-functional collaboration, educational reach, stakeholder engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership on optimizing infusion education programs to support product adoption, clinical excellence, and positive customer experiences.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree (MBA or related field) preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, with significant experience in commercial leadership, or operational functions. Experience within rheumatology, nephrology, rare disease, or other specialized therapeutic areas preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in commercial marketing, sales, operations, with a track record of strong performance. Strong knowledge of biologic administration processes, infusion site operations, and adverse event management, preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and with external partners.
  • Data-Driven Planning & Performance Management – Analytical mindset with experience in tracking performance metrics and optimizing educational programs based on data-driven insights to optimize impact.
  • Demonstrated understanding and record of activity in line with key laws and regulations impacting the pharmaceutical industry, including but not limited to PhRMA Code, HIPAA, and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Proven leadership experience in building and managing field-based teams, particularly within infusion or biologic settings.

  • Strong knowledge of biologic administration processes, infusion site operations, and adverse event management.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.

  • Analytical mindset with experience in tracking performance metrics and optimizing educational programs based on data-driven insights.

  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

  • Ability to travel up to 40% as required by the role. Proximity to an airport is preferred.

 

Compensation: 
The base salary pay range for this role is $170,000-210,000 annually. The actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary, this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match, short and long-term incentives, medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD and life insurance benefits, in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
