Description
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy life. According to the National Diabetes Statistics Report, 38.4 million people in the U.S.—11.6% of the population—are living with diabetes. Rates of diabetes and prediabetes continue to rise, and many communities face more barriers to care than others. Similar challenges exist for people living with obesity, a complex chronic condition that often occurs alongside diabetes and increases health risks.
As an advocate for expanding health access, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) is committed to improving access to quality care and prevention for all people living with diabetes and obesity. ADA drives positive health outcomes through leadership in implementing community-centered interventions that address obstacles to care.
