Remote : SAP Accountant

100% Remote

Location: Remote supporting Dayton, OH (ET working hours)

Duration: 3 4-month contract

Citizenship: s or Permanent Residents

Pay: $28/hr

Position Summary:

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts payable within a manufacturing setting, who can dive into historical data, identify root causes of outstanding balances, and implement resolutions efficiently. You ll work closely with procurement, receiving, and production teams to reconcile discrepancies and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and resolve aged payables, including unmatched POs, GRNs (Goods Received Notes), and invoice discrepancies.

Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on missing or disputed invoices.

Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to resolve 3-way match issues.

Communicate with vendors to clarify balances and negotiate settlements if needed.

Document findings and resolutions to support audit readiness and process improvements.

Assist in updating AP procedures to prevent recurrence of similar issues.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong understanding of 3-way matching, PO-based invoicing, and inventory-related AP processes.

Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor, NetSuite).

Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.

Familiarity with freight, duty, and tax-related AP entries.

Knowledge of internal controls and audit compliance.
