Position Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and driving revenue through both new business development and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, strengthening relationships with both old and new clients, and enhancing Gridlines' presence in the energy and infrastructure industries.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize LinkedIn to identify, connect with, and engage potential clients in the energy, infrastructure, and environment sectors.
  • Reach out to existing clients to explore opportunities for cross-selling additional services and solutions, ensuring that clients are aware of the full range of offerings available from Gridlines.
  • Re-engage old clients by understanding their evolving needs and identifying how Gridlines can add value through new services or products.
  • Regularly monitor Partnerships Bulletin's Global Projects Tracker and other tender platforms to track relevant projects and business opportunities.
  • Proactively review and respond to tenders, ensuring timely submissions to generate new leads and client interest.
  • Build and manage a comprehensive pipeline of leads, maintaining regular contact with prospects and clients through consistent outreach.
  • Conduct market research to uncover new growth opportunities, trends, and potential partnerships in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and refine sales materials and presentations, ensuring they are aligned with the needs of both new and existing clients.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients by identifying opportunities for additional business and offering customized solutions that address their current challenges.
  • Attend industry events, webinars, and networking opportunities to expand Gridlines’ visibility and develop meaningful industry connections.
  • Provide detailed reports to management on sales performance, client feedback, and market developments.
  • Identify potential strategic partnerships that can extend Gridlines’ reach into new sectors and regions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of targeted sales strategies aimed at achieving quarterly and annual sales goals.
  • Monitor competitors and market trends, adjusting sales tactics and strategies accordingly to stay competitive.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to provide support on larger deals or strategic initiatives.
  • Consistently follow up with prospects, old clients, and existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and exploring additional business opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system, ensuring a streamlined and effective sales process.
