Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive DevOps / SecOps Engineer who is a strong executor and pragmatist, capable of taking ownership of our operational excellence and strengthening our security posture.
This is a unique opportunity to be a foundational member of our technical team, working closely with the CTO and backend engineers to build a robust, secure, and performant environment. Until now, these responsibilities have been shared among our backend engineers, so you'll be stepping into a critical role with significant impact.

What you will do

Infrastructure Management: Take full ownership of our bare metal server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability. This includes managing and optimizing technologies such as Docker Swarm, MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and NodeJS applications.

Security Enhancement: Significantly improve overall security by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing best practices, and continuously monitoring for threats.

ISO 27001 Certification: Lead our technical journey to ISO 27001 certification. Enhance security controls, implement automation, develop documentation, and embed long-term practices, working closely with the CTO.

Application Performance & Security (NodeJS): Collaborate closely with our backend engineering team to enhance the security and performance of our NodeJS applications. You'll contribute directly to the codebase with a focus on security improvements and performance optimization.

Infrastructure as Code: Leverage and expand our use of Ansible for infrastructure automation, configuration management, and consistent deployments.
