The role

Are you a crypto-savvy strategist who thrives on building brand presence and guiding the voice of a product? Do you enjoy creating engaging content, growing online communities, and collaborating with influencers to spread the word? If you're passionate about crypto and have a knack for building communities, this role is perfect for you.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving social media strategy, engaging with users, and building relationships with influencers across various platforms. Your creativity and strategic mindset will help grow our community while ensuring that our brand is represented consistently and effectively.


What you’ll do:
  • Own and execute Koinly’s social media strategy across X, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, and other emerging platforms relevant in the crypto space.

  • Engage with users and crypto accounts in various online communities, ensuring timely and meaningful interactions.

  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers, thought leaders, and partners in the crypto/web3 space to extend reach and credibility.

  • Create and manage a content plan for all social media platforms, working closely with the brand lead and the content squad for support and collaboration.

  • Monitor and report on social KPIs, audience growth, and content performance, providing analytical insights to optimize strategy.

  • Embrace a risk-taking, experimentation mindset to constantly test new approaches, tactics, and content to grow and engage the audience.

  • Test new formats—memes, threads, videos, collabs—to stay ahead of platform trends.

  • Stay plugged into crypto culture, trends, and regulations to keep content sharp.


What you’ll bring:
  • Have 3+ years of social media experience.

  • Experience creating crypto content (threads, memes, shorts, newsletters).

  • The ability to translate crypto complexity into clear, compelling narrative arcs.

  • Proven experience leading social strategy, not just managing day-to-day posting.

  • Are deeply familiar with crypto communities and terminology.

  • Deep knowledge and passion for crypto, with a strong understanding of crypto-related social media trends, platforms, and communities.

  • Proven experience in social media management, with a focus on creating engaging content and building communities in the crypto or tech space.

  • Can write sharp, on-brand copy and translate complex topics into engaging posts.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to engaging with influencers, founders, crypto creators, and users.

  • Are fluent in social analytics tools and use data to refine your strategy.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with brand, product, and content teams to ensure cohesion.

  • Highly adaptable, with a willingness to experiment and test new content strategies and formats.

  • Thrive in async teams, know how to manage your time, and value autonomy.


Bonus points if you:
  • Have direct experience in content creation for social media, including video production, meme creation, and other relevant content formats, a channel or a community of your own.

  • Experience creating your own crypto content (threads, memes, shorts, newsletters).

  • Experience briefing or managing content creators, video editors, or meme makers.

  • Comfort with basic video editing, meme creation, or Canva/Figma.

  • Familiarity with tools like Hypefury, Notion, Typefully, TweetDeck, or Buffer.

  • Multilingual.


Your first month

During your first month will be focused on getting to know our social media presence, understanding the crypto community’s pulse, aligning with colleagues in the Marketing team and start crafting your initial strategies for growth. 

You’ll work closely with our content squad and other teams to develop and execute a plan that amplifies our brand across the most relevant channels and will report directly to the Head of Marketing.

You’ll own the process of identifying key growth opportunities, experimenting with new content directions, and sharpening our presence across the most relevant platforms. By the end of the month, you’ll be driving initiatives, tracking early performance signals, and setting us up to scale what works.
