About the role - you will:
As the Director of Global OEM Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing the overall sales strategy for the account and directing a high-performance sales team in the successful execution of the account plan. Your team will drive revenue growth and expand our market presence with a large OEM customer. Your multifaceted responsibilities will require a blend of strategic thinking, executive level relationship-building finesse, and operational acumen. Here are some of the specifics:
1. Product Development Strategies: You’ll be responsible for overseeing and strategizing the overall account strategy and product strategy with Seagate internal product teams, you are an expert in product development processes and balancing customer requirements with future product offerings. You are also responsible for aligning sales efforts with product roadmaps and ensuring that our offerings resonate with customer needs and market trends.
2. Account Management and Relationship Building: You are an expert in developing a sales team that cultivates strong client relationships. You are an expert in managing and directing a team that calls on strategic accounts, nurtures existing partnerships, and consistently delivers upsell opportunities. Your knack for helping your team understanding customer pain points will guide tailored solutions.
3. Strategic Sales Planning: You will be responsible for setting the long -term strategic plan for the account and crafting an effective sales strategy for your team to execute. You’ll analyze market dynamics, competitor landscapes, and customer behavior. Armed with insights, you’ll develop and execute plans that drive business growth, whether through new client acquisition or expanding existing accounts.
4. Sales Process Optimization: Efficiency matters. Drawing from your experience, you’ll fine-tune our sales process. Expect to identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement best practices. Your goal? Accelerating deal closures while maintaining quality interactions.
5. Business Development Leadership: Leading by example, you’ll inspire our sales teams. Whether it’s mentoring junior reps or collaborating with seasoned professionals, your leadership will foster a result-driven culture. You’ll champion innovation, adaptability, and resilience.
6. Enterprise-Level Negotiations You have a proven track record in managing high performance sales teams that exceed sales goals by navigating complex deals, balancing client demands, understanding complex pricing structures, and contractual terms. Your ability to lead and develop a team of strategic thinkers will secure win-win outcomes.
7. Proven Track Record: You have a long track record of successfully leading teams that drive revenue growth, strategic initiatives, and market share expansion.
8. Performance Metrics: You set the strategy for long-term demand and supply agreements and consistently coordinate and deliver predictable results with sales operations. You are accountable for your team’s overall sales performance and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs). Your eye for detail will keep our engine running smoothly.
9. Stakeholder relationships: You have a proven track record of developing and managing executive level relationships cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and product teams and with our customers. Your ability to lead the team to bridge silos internally and with the customer will enhance our overall effectiveness.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $188,000 - $279,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This position is also eligible to earn additional commission-based (70/30 plan) compensation pursuant to an established commission sales plan. Actual commission-based compensation will be based on performance and the eligible target incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change.
