Position Overview
The Faculty of Trades & Technology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University is currently seeking a permanent full-time Automotive Service Technician instructor to deliver Foundation and Apprenticeship training.
More information concerning the working conditions for a faculty member are outlined in Article 12 of the Kwantlen Faculty Association (KFA) Collective Agreement
Education And Experience
- A BC Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification with Interprovincial Red Seal (IP RSE), or an Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification with IP RSE from another jurisdiction.
- A minimum of five years’ diverse experience as an automotive repair journeyperson.
Qualifications
- The knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with students is essential.
- Previous instructional experience is an asset.
Salary Information
Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on level of education and relevant teaching experience. Advancement up the pay scale is based on FTE and employment status.
This competition is for a maximum FTE of 100% Regular. When possible, priority will be given to the candidate(s) who can maximize the FTE either individually, or collectively, as such please indicate on your application your preferred workload percentage.
