About The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Director of IT to lead our technology initiatives and drive digital transformation. This role will be responsible for strategic IT leadership, ERP implementation, EDI and marketplace integrations, cybersecurity, and financial systems alignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Technology Vision

  • Develop and lead a scalable IT strategy aligned with business objectives, supporting aggressive growth, omnichannel operations, and digital transformation.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify technology-driven opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.

ERP Implementation & Management

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of an enterprise ERP system (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Business One), including vendor selection, system design, data migration, and change management.
  • Design and maintain scalable architecture to support integrations with internal systems, marketplaces, 3PLs, and accounting software.

EDI, Warehouse, and Marketplace Integration

  • Implement and manage a robust EDI infrastructure to connect with third-party logistics providers, warehouse systems, and retail partners (e.g., Wayfair, Walmart, Target).
  • Ensure seamless handling of EDI transactions such as 832 (product catalog), 850 (PO), 855 (Order acknowledgement), 810 (invoice), 997 (functional acknowledgement) 940 (warehouse shipping order), 943 (confirming stock transfer), 945 ( Warehouse shipping advice)
  • Establish API and EDI integrations with key marketplaces, including Amazon, Shopify, Wayfair, Walmart Marketplace, and Overstock,Target, Kohls, Faire, Michaels & Macys to automate order flows, inventory syncing, and shipping updates.
  • Monitor data flow across integrations for completeness, error handling, and performance optimization.

QuickBooks Integration & Financial Systems Alignment

  • Oversee the integration between ERP and QuickBooks (or transition to a full ERP-based financial suite if scaling out).
  • Ensure real-time or batch synchronization of sales orders, invoices, payments, and GL entries between operational systems and accounting.
  • Collaborate with finance to streamline month-end close processes and reporting.

IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

  • Manage the company’s IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms, cybersecurity policies, backup systems, and internal tools.
  • Ensure high availability and data integrity across all business-critical systems

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead an internal IT team or manage external partners to support business initiatives.
  • Promote continuous improvement and technical excellence through ongoing training, collaboration, and KPIs.

Data, Reporting, & Business Intelligence

  • Implement a centralized data strategy that powers dashboards, reporting, and operational KPIs across departments.
  • Provide visibility into sales performance by channel, inventory health, fulfillment metrics, and financial indicators.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all systems and processes comply with relevant regulations (GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS).
  • Develop and maintain a robust disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic partner to operations, supply chain, finance, and e-commerce teams.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions that drive measurable impact.

Requirements

What We’re Looking for in You:

  • 8+ years of experience with EDI integrations implementation.
  • 4 + years of experience working with various vendors for integrations.
  • Ability to set up project timelines and manage implementation processes.
  • Experience setting up warehouses and marketplace integrations. (Nice to have)
  • Strong background in ERP implementation within an organization. (MUST HAVE)
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues without much explanation.
  • Be able to build custom functions with tools already purchased
  • Have an understanding of Amazon Seller and Vendor Central
  • 1Password experience
  • Steady and reliable internet connection and equipment able to handle video conferencing while sharing screen. (MUST HAVE)
  • A knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux Operating Systems
  • Notion experience
  • Proficiency in English B2 and above.
