Job description

This is a remote position.

Work schedule: Monday to Friday between 9:30 AM to 6.30 PM UK time with one hour unpaid lunch
Paid hours per week: 40 hours

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our finance team with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be experienced in bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close procedures, and will have a strong grasp of financial accuracy and organization.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations

  • Match credit card receipts to transactions and verify supporting documentation

  • Create and post journal entries to reflect accurate financial activity

  • Conduct general ledger reconciliations and maintain account accuracy

  • Support the month-end close process, ensuring completeness and compliance

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies with precision and a high degree of accountability



Requirements
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar accounting role

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms)

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment

  • Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

  • Familiarity with cloud-based document and workflow tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, etc.)
