Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Title: Technical Estimator – Blast & Paint (Part-Time)
Schedule : Part-time, 20 hours a week, 9am – 2pm AEST, Monday to Thursday

Job Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to prepare accurate job quotations.
  • Provide timely and competitive estimates for industrial blasting and painting work.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, production) to clarify project scope and pricing details.
  • Input and manage quotation data in our ERP system (Cin7), ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate with clients or stakeholders via Outlook for clarification or follow-up on quotes.
  • Organize and store project files, specifications, and related documentation using SharePoint.
  • Support continuous improvement of the quoting process and documentation.
Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience in quoting, estimating, or sales support within an industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with surface preparation, blasting, and painting processes (preferred).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Cin7 experience is a plus), Microsoft Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a 20-hour workweek, with potential to increase hours.
