The Recovery Supervisor proved support for the Benefits Coordination & Recovery Center (BCRC) and is responsible for all activities related to the scope of work within established operating procedures. This position ensures all duties are complete by delegating work to subordinates based on knowledge and skill ability. The Recovery Supervisor works closely with superior to ensure compliance of all tasks as well as productivity and quality goals are met for the department.
The Recovery Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of the correspondence processing departments based on a 1:18 ratio. Responsible for ensuring work assignments are achieved accurately and according to production standards. Responsible for management of personnel, approval of timesheets, and any disciplinary actions necessary. Ensures processing staff are fully trained and effective. This position is fully remote.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Five (5) experience in Medicare recovery environment preferred, including: Medicare policies and procedures, MSP related systems (ReMAS, CWF/HIMR, ECRS, HIGLAS, BCRS, and image repositories).
Experience in BCRS system highly preferred.
Operational knowledge and understanding of Medicare policies and procedures, MSP related systems (i.e., ReMAS, CWF / HIMR, ECRS, HIGLAS and image repositories), and MSP internal workload tracking system (RSC)
Skilled proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Working knowledge of standard quality assurance practices
Detail-oriented with exceptional organization, analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with solid presentation and reporting skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate information to a broad range of people with varying levels of expertise

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Uses program experience and leadership skills to manage a team of correspondence processing personnel to meet contract and company requirements, as follows:
Maintains current knowledge of and ensures subordinates understand and comply with policies, procedures, purposes, goals and contract requirements.
Takes responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of assigned units and manages assigned subordinates.
Manages written correspondence activities as directed. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the accurate, timely and thorough handling and reporting of all workloads.
Supports subordinates by handling escalated inquiries to ensure the accurate, thorough, and professional handling of all issues.
Maintains confidentiality and upholds standards for privacy and data integrity and security.
Adheres to established qualitative and quantitative standards to meet contractual obligations and changing business requirements.
Through the daily supervision of assigned correspondence processing staff, the Recovery Supervisor may become aware of problems, risks, or other operational concerns and will report these through the recommended chain of command. The Recovery Supervisor may be required to assist contract and/or company management with mitigating risks and identifying solutions (for ultimate approval by the Prime contractor), including but not limited to the following:
Provides thoughtful and thorough feedback, as requested, involving policies, procedures and/or performance enhancements in support of the contract.
Collects, evaluates and analyzes data that can be used to assist in problem analysis, organizational analysis, and operational difficulties and recommends solutions through the appropriate chain of command.
Follows established modeling and evaluation processes to determine the effectiveness of current operational activities to determine problem areas and develop solutions.
Ensures work assignments are completed accurately and according to production standards:
Reviews and analyzes all quality and audit findings for assigned correspondence staff to identify deficiencies and coach personnel, as appropriate Maintains established production and quality control standards and uses the workload tracking system to obtain related data regarding quantities, specifications, and delivery dates.
Ensures all established production, quality, and delivery commitments are met by planning, assigning and directing work. Responsible for effective priority setting to balance production and quality to meet business needs in support of the contract.
Reviews production and quality data, identifies problems or errors and recommends corrective action to upper management (and implements as directed).
Performs other administrative activities associated with the effective management of subordinates, including:
Compiling, storing, and retrieving data for reports.
Ensures staff are trained in accordance with contract requirements
Ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
Provides staff with guidance and support and performs the required probationary evaluations for new hires and assists with recommendations as to their continued employment.
Performs yearly Performance Evaluations on direct reports, which will include but is not limited to providing feedback and expectations on how to improve performance as applicable.
Administers disciplinary actions as business needs dictate for direct reports, which include coaching, counseling, warnings, and terminations. Holds weekly direct report meetings with staff to disseminate information, motivate and solicit feedback and suggestions.
Manages workload in accordance with policies, procedures and strategies in an effort to proactively achieve production and quality goals and objectives.
As requested, actively participates in operational meetings to improve workflow processes.
Stays informed of all company and contract compliance guidelines and actively enforces those guidelines.
Ability to work the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM and travel as required.
Conducts interviews and facilitates final hiring decisions.
Monitors and tracks subordinate production and quality and addresses performance issues with staff in a professional and timely manner to avoid and/or resolve issues.
Addresses staff complaints and resolves personnel problems and conflicts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or five (5) years’ related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in Medicare recovery environment preferred, including: Medicare policies and procedures, MSP related systems (ReMAS, CWF/HIMR, ECRS, HIGLAS, and image repositories), and MSP internal workload tracking system (RSC).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The estimated pay range for this role is $45K to $49K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
