We're looking for a Project Manager to join our Packaging Development Experts team at Stora Enso Packaging Materials. This is a remote position based in Europe, ideally near a major international airport, with regular travel to our customers and production mills.

  • Drive Customer Collaboration: Work closely with brand owners and converters to understand their packaging needs and deliver tailored, value-adding solutions.
  • Facilitate Teamwork: Coordinate with internal experts across packaging development, technical support, and converter support teams to deliver results.
  • Support Sales Growth: Take a proactive approach in identifying opportunities, building compelling value propositions, and co-creating solutions with customers.
  • Build and Evolve Service Offerings: Contribute to building and refining our service portfolio for brand owners, especially around design and early development stages.
  • Leverage Technical Expertise: Apply your knowledge of cartonboard properties, printing and finishing technologies (printing: offset, gravure, digital, embossing), and converting processes to support successful product performance—through printing, die cutting, gluing & filling lines, and logistics.
  • Explore Market Opportunities: Stay ahead of packaging trends, consumer expectations, and industry innovations.
  • Solve Problems Proactively: Identify and resolve any technical or logistical challenges to ensure smooth project execution.

What you bring
  • Strong background in packaging development and project management, ideally in the food or beverage industry.
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver complex projects across multiple stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric approach with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Solid technical understanding of paperboard packaging, printing technologies, converting, assembling and filling lines.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Self-driven, solution-oriented, and results-focused mindset.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Europe.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Nice to have
  • Experience in the tobacco, pharma, beer & beverage and/or frozen food segments.
  • Background in packaging portfolio development.
